What We Do
MODELING
One
of the more important, less spoken of and more subtle learning techniques,
is the art of modeling (behavior).
Based
in part on an understanding of our impact and an awareness of others, modeling
supports active participation of all stakeholders in an organizational system
and can be seen as a top down or bottom up phenomenon.
Mahatma
Gandhi was quoted as saying: “You must be the change you want to see
in the world.” From a business perspective, we must model the behavior
we wish to see in our organizations.
One
of the most intentful parts of our work is modeling behavior from the beginning
of an assignment – and inviting others to learn this wonderful skill
in the process.
Throughout
our assignments, we continually use self to re-enforce the value and practice
of modeling, and constantly remind our clients and their staffs of the mirror
that their colleagues provide for their own behaviors.
Because we are hands on in our work, modeling is a natural extension of our philosophy around awareness, listening and community.
